I'm going to keep this short and sweet today. I've been writing to you each week for over seven years now, so we've been on this journey together for quite a few holidays, a few Easters.
I know what's coming this week for some of us. It's that sluggish feeling. The post-holiday bloat and realization that all that food is not sitting well. The blah feeling that comes from eating too much sugar and salt, and not sweating enough. I know that feeling well!
Add on top of that the sudden sunshine and nice weather, meaning the summer wardrobe is coming out of the boxes or back of the closet.
How do you FEEL?
If you don't feel fabulous, I want you to rise up and DO something about it. Not tomorrow, not next Monday, right flipping now. Make a plan and get to it.
What does your plan look like? You tell me.
We know the basics. Lift heavy. Do cardio in the zone. Drink water. Sleep. Eat plants.
What does your plan look like? How do you turn the basics into daily practice? You turn the basics into actions. Things like:
Schedule personal training
Take a Pump class
Sign up for extra Tread this week
Put exercise in your calendar, do not forfeit that time to anyone unless they are bleeding
Schedule a walk with a friend
Download Online Tread playlist and do the Sharon Woods loop
Get on your treadmill/elliptical
Write it down, track your steps, get 10,000 every day this week
Bring your water bottle with you
Go to bed early
Buy extra veggies
Prep food in large batches
The feeling fabulous part takes care of itself once you take action. Especially consistent action. Daily practice. Me time.
I had a big Easter dinner. I did not hold back and I enjoyed every bite. And then I prepped my food for the week, loaded up my playlist and power walked myself into an incredibly good mood around the Sharon Woods loop. I sang, I drank a liter of water, and I got that endorphin hit outside where I love to be. Then I came home and scheduled all my workouts for the week. I'm all set.
What's your plan? You tell me!
